The Company
Incorporated in 1977, Flora Pack began as a co-operative of greenhouse growers to create an avenue to market their holiday crops to chain store customers and wholesalers.  Today, Flora Pack is solely owned by one of the founding families
– the Boekestyn’s.

The Family
As Boekestyn Greenhouses, the Boekestyn family have been growing quality flowers since 1962.  Now on their third generation, the Boekestyn’s have almost 20 acres of land with about 250,000 sq ft of indoor production at plant 1.  Plant 2 is over 40 acres of land and plans for a second 250,000 sq ft indoor production facility have already begun.

Support Growers
Flora Pack not only operates as the sales and marketing arm for the Boekestyn crops, it also draws from a large variety of growers throughout the region.  This allows Flora Pack to offer a wide variety of items, both in cut flowers and potted plants during holiday time and on a weekly basis.

Quality Assured
While product is periodically viewed during growth, to further ensure quality, everything Flora Pack sells goes through their distribution warehouse.  This way items can be checked periodically to ensure that only quality product leaves the premises.

The Horizon
Careful expansion plans for Flora Pack are well underway.  An additional 40 acres of land has been purchased.  The land has been cleared, while the plans for construction have been drawn up.

The objective is the same -- to provide quality crops on a timely basis, at very competitive prices.  To grow at a pace to satisfy customer demand and to ensure that all needs are met, not only for today, but for many years to come.
